Roy's Motel is an iconic site, defunct for many years but now being largely restored, on the National Trails Highway Route 66. Situated in the tiny town of Amboy in the Mojave Desert, the structural integrity of signs in the desert states do not decay to the same extent as in eastern states due to dry atmospheric conditions.
